The SWAAG Grinton Mounds Excavation Project is planned to take place in two phases in 2026 and 2027.
Phase 1 is scheduled for 8 to 12 June 2026 and will take place under the supervision of the Site Archaeologist (SA) Tony Liddell, a professional archaeologist. It will comprise a small number of exploratory excavations, limited to the East Mound and its immediate environs, and aims to help identify the nature, characteristics and extent of the site.
